Who doesn’t love movies, right? I mean, who would be willing to give up on a chance to lounge on your favorite furniture with a bucket of popcorn and relax watching some good ol’ cinema. I have to admit, the thought just makes me want to jump out of this chair, get myself some snacks and watch a movie! And so today we’re going to discuss some amazing movies (based on a self-proclaimed movie addict’s opinion).
Number 1: Pride and Prejudice
Genre – Romance/Drama
This Keira Knightley, Mathew Macfadyen romantic drama is everything I want in a movie when it comes to a romantic film. And I for one, watched this movie after 10 years of its release and that’s when I realized I've been living under a rock! (lol) Anyways, this extraordinary film based on a novel under the same name by the great Jane Austen will take you back to the Elizabethan era and make you feel like you belong there. Also, I have to say, the soundtrack of this film is ethereal. I could just listen to it and be rejuvenated.
Number 2: UP
Genre – Family/Adventure
Okay, so this is probably a movie almost everyone has watched (if you haven't – WHAT?!) and it is a movie that will pull at your heartstrings, so... get some tissues ready by the way. It is a beautiful movie and I don’t think there's a better word to describe it. This 2009 animated movie bagged tons of awards for being the best-animated film, for its music and so much more. It's got happiness, sorrow, excitement and lots and lots of adventure.
Number 3: The Secret Life of Walter Mitty
Genre – Comedy/Adventure
This movie makes me want to travel. To live free. To have hope. This is one of those movies to watch when you feel low and wants to be reminded of how every cloud has a silver lining to it. And do I even have to say how good is the performance of everyone in it? Please watch this movie and tell me you loved it too 😊
Number 4: Togo
Genre – Drama
Togo made me cry (not gonna lie) and wish that I had a naughty + playful puppy like him. This again is a movie for which you’ll need a lot of tissues near you. And what makes this film even more heart-wrenching is the fact that this is a story based on real events. Togo’s breed of dogs is still one of the most sought-after breeds of Siberian Husky. If you love dogs or even if you don’t, you’ll love this movie.
Number 5: Batman Begins
Genre – Action/Fantasy
For all my fantasy lovers out there, this Christopher Nolan hit is a real bang! I love this movie just as much as I love my hot chocolate. It's not just this film, but the whole Dark Knight trilogy is unbelievably cool, be it the next-level gadgets or the extremely popular batmobile. Action, fantasy, and a whole container of awesomeness were used to make this blockbuster.
