Okay, I fancy the idea of watching horror movies but, I am terrified of it - it’s a love-hate relationship. So, watching a horror flick is something I get excited about even though I know it's going to be two hours of me shutting my eyelids tight every now and then. But hey, I make it to the very end, okay. So here are a few of the absolutely terrifying movies (in my opinion), some of which I can't survive watching a second time.

Number 1: IT
This Stephen King novel-turned-movie is beloved by most as it is too good when it comes to a horror film. Pennywise the dancing clown can make your blood run cold when taken the right avatar (almost too good that I won’t watch it again lol). This movie also has a sequel named It Chapter 2 which revolves around the same characters in their grown-up versions. Bill Skarsgard did a fantastic job portraying Pennywise in both movies earning several nominations for the same. I wouldn’t recommend this movie for someone faint of heart (like me) as it's got some good jump scares (or maybe it looks like so just to me).
Number 2: Insidious
Insidious is probably one of those horror films that I enjoyed and might watch again. It’s a thrilling story with a touch of humor here and there which I really appreciate in horror movies (obviously not because it helps to loosen up while watching a supernatural being on screen (lol)). This franchise continued the good work in the movies that followed as well. One thing's for sure, you’re gonna absolutely love the cool elderly psychic, Elise Rainier, and her comrades', Specs and Tucker from this movie.
Number 3: Train to Busan
No list of horror movies is complete without a zombie movie. And I can’t go without mentioning this intriguing + touching + lively (with a lot of undead) + action-filled piece of art – Train to Busan. It took me almost 10 years to discover this amazing movie which I watched upon a friend’s recommendation and instantly fell in love with the storyline, the graphics, the actors (who did a splendid job), and what not! If you are someone looking for a zombie movie or just any movie that can transfix you but reveal a beautiful story at the same time, this is the one for you, my friend.
Number 4: Don’t Breathe
This is for 100%, a movie everyone has watched, and again if you haven’t - *deep sigh*. This story revolves around three youngsters who decide to rob a blind man, not just any blind man (Spoiler alert!) ... but an ex-Navy SEAL. Nope, I won’t give away any more spoilers - I'll zip it for those of you who haven’t already watched it. ;)
Number 5: Life
This Sci-fi + horror movie is one for those with a love for the extra-terrestrial. The way how the plot evolves from something so benign to, let's just say, something not so innocent is truly blindsiding. This is one of those movies I've watched a few times already and would love to watch again.
Number 6: The Sixth Sense
This isn't a good list of horror movies if it doesn't include a M. Night Shyamalan flick. And if you haven't watched any of his extraordinary/mind-boggling movies, I'm genuinely disappointed... But fret not, for here I present to you one of his best movies! This 1999 cinema made me stare at the post-credits (and the blank screen later) rewinding the whole movie in my head. Now, even if you decide not to watch any of the above movies, just promise me you'll watch this one, okay (You'll thank me later).
So yeah, that’s with the list as of now. I’ve got a few more amazing horror + a different genre movie that’s pretty interesting. Maybe I'll do that another time. If you’ve seen any of these films, let me know what you think in the comments below!
Happy Halloween in advance!
